Our History
Equity Financial Trust Company was founded in 1990 as Equity Transfer Services Inc. to serve the business-to-business financial services market. Our goal is to be Canada’s financial services company of choice by consistently offering better service and better value.
In 2006, we became a regulated trust company to provide our clients the flexibility to do deals within or outside a Trust structure.
Equity Financial Trust Company is wholly owned by Equity Financial Holdings Inc., which trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol EQI.
